As Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is getting bashed in the media for storing the location history on 3G devices, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has come out and said that Windows Phone 7 does not store the location information of their users. Windows Phone 7 does have some location-based applications, but they require consent from users before tracking anything. GGC Software Holdings will be acquiring Lawson Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:LWSN) for $2 billion. The two companies have announced that Lawson has accepted the acquisition bid today. The acquisition is expected to be closed in the third quarter and the combined company will create one of the largest ERP companies.
