Facebook and Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) are in talks with Skype about a deal after the IPO has been delayed. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is in talks with Skype about acquiring Skype completely or forming a joint venture. Google is also in talks about forming a joint venture with Skype. A deal with Skype could be valued at around $3-$4 billion. Skype was initially expecting to have an initial public offering and raise about $1 billion.

These discussions are in early stages and nothing may come out of it. Skype may even have an IPO in the second half of 2011. Skype filed a registration statement to go public this past August.
