Former Google executive and Egyptian revolutionary head Wael Ghonim had coined the phrase “revolution 2.0.” He was temporarily captured by the Egyptian government and was beaten before getting released. Now Wael has signed a book deal with the Revolution 2.0 name with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

Ghonim will tell “the inside story of the Egyptian revolution and the lessons of the Arab Spring, as told by the 30-year-old former Google executive who was one of the people that mobilized protesters through technology and social media” in the book. Ghonim was given credit for leading a revolution in Egypt that led to Hosni Mubarak getting overthrown after reigning for 30 years.

Ghonim was the owner of a Facebook Page called “We Are All Khaled Saied.” Ghonim’s book is expected to be released on January 25th. Ghonim took a leave of absence from Google to build a nongovernmental organization that fights poverty.
