Datameer is an analytics startup solutions company that was built on Apache Hadoop. Datameer has raised $9.25 million led by Kleiner Perkins with participation from Redpoint Ventures. Kleiner Perkins partner Ellen Pao will be joining the Datameer board of directors. Now Datameer has raised a total of $12 million.

Datameer’s Analytics Solution has a spreadsheet interface that allows people to run analytics services with very large data sets. This allows people with very little engineering experience handle a large amount of data. Datameer plans on using the new round of funding to expand their sales, engineering, and marketing teams.
