The Motorola Droid X2 smartphone is going to be on sale this Thursday for $200 through Verizon Wireless online. The Droid X2 won’t be available in retail stores until May 26th according to Motorola spokeswoman Kira Golin.
The X2 is replacing the original Droid X that launched in July.

The Droid X2 has a 4.3-inch screen size and has 26% more pixels than the Droid X. The Droid X2 will be the first Verizon phone that runs on a dual-core 1GHz processor and offers full display mirroring, which allows people to plug the smartphone into an HDTV through an HDMI cable. The Droid X2 also has an 8-megapixel camera in the rear. The Droid X2 runs on Android 2.2 Froyo, but that phone can be updated wirelessly to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
