Earlier this week there was an explosion at the Foxconn factory in Chengdu, China at building A05. At least two people died and 16 people were injured after the explosion. That is the same building where the iPad 2 is made.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragedy at Foxconn’s plant in Chengdu, and our hearts go out to the victims and their families,” said Apple in a company statement. “We are working closely with Foxconn to understand what caused this terrible event.”
