Microsoft Mango Windows Phone Update Has Improved Live Tiles, Local Scout, IE9, and Deeper Social Network Integration

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) announced the next version of Windows Phone called “Mango” in New York. The new features has hundreds of features. “Mango” allows Windows Phone to expand into new markets. Microsoft has new partnerships with Acer, Fujitsu, and ZTE. The Windows Phone Marketplace currently has about 17,000 apps. Some of the new “Mango” features include:
1. Improved Live Tiles – More real-time information on the home screen
2. Deeper social network integration – Twitter and LinkedIn feeds will also be included within contact cards
3. Internet Explorer 9 – Includes support for HTML5 and hardware acceleration
4. Local Scout – Hyperlocal search results
