Google Adds Flight Information To Search

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has started adding flight search information to their search results. This feature does not utilize technology provided by ITA Software, a company that Google acquired for $700 million. When you looking for a destination on Google, you can see which airlines go on that route. For example, if you search for “New York to Chicago,” you will see the schedules of all the non-stop flights that are on that route and the timings. Google software engineer Petter Wendum said that the company is eager to develop software that is integrated with ITA software, but the Department of Justice has conditions. [TechCrunch]
