Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) is very sensitive to criticism. Last week after Comcast decided to hire a sitting member of the FCC named Meredith Attwell Baker, an employee of the Reel Grrls nonprofit education program sent a tweet questioning whether this was a conflict of interest. Baker had voted in approval of Comcast’s merger with NBC Universal. Comcast cut off funding for Reel Grrls after that tweet was sent out.

The BlackBerry PlayBook sales has fallen short of the expectations at Research In Motion Limited (TSE:RIM). The PlayBook is also being returned at a higher pace than the Motorola Xoom. According to a BGR source, the PlayBook sales missed internal sales targets by over 90%. The return rate of the Xoom is already at a high number of 7%. Given that the return rate of the PlayBook is even higher, that means almost one out of every 10 people that buy a PlayBook ends up returning it. [BGR]

The Sony Thailand website was temporarily hacked. The URL for the Sony Thailand website temporarily hosted the homepage for an Italian credit card company. The error was discovered by web security company F-Secure. “We know you’re not supposed to kick somebody when they’re already down … but we just found a live phishing site running on one of Sony’s servers,” wrote F-Secure. This security breach has nothing to do with the PlayStation Network hack.
