It appears that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has an interest in Google Android doing well too. According to Citi analyst Walter Pritchard, Microsoft receives $5 for every HTC Android phone that is sold as part of a patent settlement.

The alarming part of the case is that the prestigious law firm DLA Piper agreed to represent Ceglia in the case, indicating that the evidence may have some merit. Facebook has fired back against Ceglia today.

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has launched a Mac Download Store, which directly competes with Apple’s own Mac App Store. Amazon has over 250 software and game titles available for the Mac. The Amazon Mac App Store has some titles that Apple’s store does not. For example, you can buy Microsoft Office from Amazon.com, but not from Apple.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) filed a lawsuit against New York City teenager Fei Lam. Lam had sold about $130,000 worth of white iPhone 4 parts. Lam was able to capitalize on customers that were too anxious to wait on Apple to release the official white iPhone 4. Lam claimed that he had a second-hand relationship with someone at Foxconn.
