Social gaming company Zynga is preparing to file for an IPO according to sources with AllThingsD. A filing with the SEC is expected to happen sometime next week. Based on Zynga’s last round of funding, the company has a valuation of $10 billion. Zynga has about 250 million people actively playing their games every month. Zynga supposedly made about $400 million profit last year on around $850 million in revenue. Today Zynga has about 1,500 full-time employees across 13 offices in 6 countries. One recent phishing scam has specifically targeted Mac users by redirecting them from legitimate websites to fake websites that tells them that their computers have been infected with a virus. The user is then asked to download the Mac Defender anti-virus software to solve the issue. Mac Defender is malware (malicious software). The goal of the malware is to get the user’s credit card information.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is rumored to be working on a mobile payment service that will be revealed on May 26th. The service would be expected to work on Sprint Nextel Corp. according to three sources with Bloomberg. The Google mobile payment service would allow Android users with specially equipped phones to pay for goods and receive coupons with their handsets. The mobile payment technology service is currently built into the Nexus S Android device on Sprint.

Zillow.com is planning to trade under the symbol “Z” on the Nasdaq stock exchange. The same filing contained financial information about the company.
