Daily deals e-mail subscription service Groupon.com and the mobile geo-location check-in service Foursquare are rumored to be in partnership talks. The partnership will likely involve Groupon Now! deals being integrated into Foursquare. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is rumored to be acquiring between 200 and 300 glass-cutting machines. Apple is expected to use these machines to slice the curved display covers for the iPhone 5. The acquisition of the glass-cutting machines is believed to accelerate the production of the iPhone. Sony Corporation’s network security is taking a beating. Aside from the PlayStation Network getting hacked, the Sony BMG Greece website was temporarily hacked. An anonymous poster had uploaded a user database to pastebin.com, which includes the usernames, real names, and e-mail addresses of some of the members signed up on SonyMusic.gr.

Back in September 2010 TiVo had annoucnoed that Hulu Plus would be coming to their service. Eight months later and it has finally arrived. Hulu Plus is now available on TiVo just like Blockbuster, Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, and YouTube.

Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) is being accused of designing a surveillance system that allow the government in China to monitor and suppress the Falun Gong spiritual group according to a lawsuit filed against the networking and voice company. The lawsuit was filed in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of California in San Jose.

Earlier this week Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) supplier Foxconn reported an explosion hit the building that was responsible for producing the iPad 2. Three people lost their lives and over 16 people were injured as a result of the explosion.
