Facebook has added the facial recognition technology to millions of additional users. Prior to today’s news, Facebook had only enabled facial recognition to users in North America.
Under the settings for international users, the privacy settings states for “Suggest Photos Of Me To Friends” stated “not yet available.” This prevented international users from enabling or disabling the facial recognition feature. Interestingly Facebook added this feature without notifying their users.
You can enable the feature by going to:
Facebook account’s privacy settings >
Customize settings > “Things others share” > “Suggest photos of me to friends. When photos look like me, suggest my name.”
