Mobile payment services company Square is raising a new round of funding that would give them a billion dollar valuation. It is believed that Square is raising $50 million or more. The talks of the new round of funding is in early stages as of right now. Square is processing about $3 million per day in mobile payments. Square is also working on a cash register service. Square has raised over $37.5 million in funding thus far from multiple venture capital companies and Visa. [TechCrunch]
