For those of you that prefer to update Twitter from the web instead of a third party application, your life has just been made easier. Twitter has added automatic link shortening to Twitter.com. When you paste a link into the tweet box on Twitter.com and hit the “Tweet” button, Twitter will automatically shorten it for you. If you want analytics for the links that are pasted on the Twitter website, you are encouraged to use third-party link shortening services. [Twitter Blog]
