Google Announces Voice Search On Desktop, Search by Image On Desktop, and Instant Pages [VIDEO]

At the Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) Inside Search press event in San Francisco, California, the company announced several new features. Now on mobile devices, you can search for results using images. Google now allows you to search for results using the microphone built into your computer. Google added an Instant Pages feature to Chrome.

Voice Search On The Desktop
Google Voice Search has been available on mobile devices for quite some time now. Now Google Voice Search is available on the desktop. Check out the Voice Search demo for the desktop in the video below:

Search By Image On Desktop
Google launched a feature to search by images on mobile device in 2009 using Google Goggles. To search using images, visit and input your picture in the search box. Click on the camera icon in the search box and upload a photo from your computer or paste the URL from the web. Drag and drop also works. Instant Pages
Instant Pages speeds up the loading time of external websites. The average website takes about 5-10 seconds to load. Instant Pages in will automatically load the first result after the search in the background. So when you click on the first result, it loads faster if you click on the external website link.
