Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has added My Places as a feature. So far Google Maps has allowed people to star places on Google Maps, rate them on Google Places, and add them to customized maps with your own icons through My Maps. Now there is a “My Places” tab on Google Maps. My Places now allows you to interact with saved maps, starred locations, and rated businesses.

The My Places tab replaces the My Maps tab in the Google Maps toolbar. The items in the tab are organized by date with the most recent activity at the top. You can create and share personalized “My Maps” through the “Create new map” link.

My Places makes managing locations easier by using a drop-down marrow next to each location in the list. This allows you easily delete saved maps, stars, or Google Places ratings. To use My Places, you will need to sign in to your Google account. You can try it now by visiting Google Maps and click on the My Places tab.
