Today a new press release from Apple announced Final Cut Pro X, a new version of their video editing software. The key feature of this new release is the Magnetic Timeline, an intuitive trackless editing system that slides clips to the side and allow the user to drop in new clips wherever desired. The other new feature is Content Auto-Analysis, which uses tags to help sort and search footage based on type of shot, type of media and number of people in the frame.

Final Cut Pro X is available in the Mac App Store for $299.99.
