The hacker group Anonymous has attacked the website of the police force in Spain. The hack attack took place out of retaliation to the police arresting three Spanish individuals believed to be “core” members of the hacker group.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) was recently hit with a major cyberattack. The IMF is responsible for preventing financial problems across the world. The IMF also has tons of confidential information about the fiscal conditions of countries.

Cafepress has filed for an IPO. Cafepress is an online merchandise company for people to buy, sell, and design products. Some of the products include T-shirts, hats, bags, bumper stickers, etc. Cafepress filed for an S-1 and plans to raise about $80 million in their IPO.

Facebook has acquired the Dutch software company called Sofa. Sofa is known for winning an Apple Design Award. Sofa designed the Mac applications Kaleidoscope and Versions. Sofa will be moving their team from Amsterdam to Palo Alto.

Pandora is a music streaming service that has filed a new version of an S-1 with the SEC. The price range is now placed at $10 to $12 per share. Pandora now has a valuation of $1.9 billion. Pandora was originally priced at $7 to $9 per share. Pandora plans on being traded on The New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “P.”

Social network Facebook.com is testing a new real-time feature that will be placed on the sidebar over to the right. The “Happening Now” feature is only available on several news feeds.

The police in Spain announced today that they have arrested three suspected men for hacking the PlayStation Network. The National Police said that the three arrested people were part of the hacker group Anonymous. During the time of the hack, Anonymous denied responsibility for it.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has acquired advertising optimization company AdMeld for $400 million. AdMeld launched in 2007 and raised about $30 million in venture capital funding. AdMeld CEO Michael Barrett was fired from News Corp. in 2008 when MySpace’s parent division failed to hit $1 billion in target revenues. [TechCrunch]
