TechCrunch reports that the company has more than 3 million registered users, 100,000 of whom pay for the service. Spectrum’s Ben Spero joined Animoto’s board.

The mobile functionality is free and has templates to make the service as user-friendly as the rest of Google Sites. The templates offer options from e-commerce with Google Checkout to maps, coupons and menus. The Google Mobile Ads Blog promises traffic monitoring with Google Analytics and insists the pages can be created in mere minutes.

The business links have been moved to the bottom and a black bar added to the top, just like the black navigation bar at the top of Google+. The layout feels a little more boxed in, and is clearly intended to remind users to try Google+ while they’re searching. The Google Blog highlights three design principles: “focus, elasticity and effortlessness.”

Consumers can now order groceries on their phones through AmazonFresh’s mobile app—if they have a Microsoft Windows Phone and live in the Seattle area. The specifics aren’t as surprising as they seem; as GeekWire notes, Seattle is home to a lot of Windows Phones because Seattle is home to more than 40,000 Microsoft employees. The app was developed by Metia/Seattle and is available in the Windows Phone Marketplace. Amazon Fresh was launched in Seattle about four years ago, delivering fresh groceries throughout the Seattle Area.

Microsoft has demonstrated their Office 365 in the cloud software, which Gizmodo comments “looks a lot like Google Apps.” All facets of Office will be available in the cloud, including mobile app versions of the suite. The mobile Office 365 will collaborate in real-time with your computer’s Office 365, which will mean being able to fix data and presentations on the go with a tap on your phone, and have the changes already made when you check on your desktop.
