AOL’s Engadget Loses Staff to a Former Editor’s New Site
Josh Topolsky, former editor of AOL’s Engadget, is hiring away Engadget’s journalists to form his own tech news site. In the month after he left the company, Topolsky hired eight former Engadget staffers. AllThingsD reports that he has now also hired Engadget senior editor Thomas Ricker, senior associate editor Sean Hollister and associate editor Joseph Flatley.
Other rumored Engadget steals are editor Vlad Savov and writer Jacob Schulman. Topolsky has also hired Thomas Houston of Switched and Dieter Bohn of Smartphone Experts.
Topolsky’s new project is slated to open in the fall, and currently lives at its temporary home, thisismynext.com.
