Move Acquires SocialBios, Making Real Estate Social

SocialBios, a service that connects users’ various internet identities into a profile hub, has been acquired by Move, an online real estate company. Move’s acquisition of SocialBios will, according to TechCrunch, mean better social connectivity for real estate professionals. SocialBios heads Ernie Graham, Ira McMahon and Andrew Van Tassel are now part of the Move development team, as part of the deal.

The press release says the acquisition will help Move to “leverage the SocialBios platform and talent to develop products that connect people with real estate professionals based on the links between their on- and offline social networks.” Does seeing how many Facebook friends you have in common with your Realtor really help seal the deal on buying a new place? We’ll know soon, based on this partnership.
