Apple and Google Considering A Bid For InterDigital

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) are considering buying InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC). InterDigital is a mobile-phone technology designer company that has about 1,300 patents in their portfolio. InterDigital has hired bankers to consider a sale. Evercore Partners Inc. and Barclays Capital are working with InterDigital to “explore and evaluate potential strategic alternatives,” said the company. [Bloomberg]
