Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S II smartphone in the U.S. next month according to Samsung’s president of mobile business and digital imageing Shin Jong-kyun. “We expect to release the Galaxy S2 in the U.S. market sometime in August,” stated Jong-kyun during a media briefing. Samsung launched the Galaxy S II in South Korea this past April. Then it was released in Japan and Europe shortly after. The Galaxy S II sold about 3 million units in under 2 months of the debut.
