While Facebook does a great job promoting events, the social network does not have a stand-alone calendar management service like Google does. Fortunately, you can easily export events from Facebook to your Google Calendar. In this blog post, we will look at two ways to export Facebook events to your Google Calendar, one in the form of copying and pasting a URL and the other by downloading a Google Chrome browser extension.

Copying and pasting a URL

Step 1: On Facebook, go to the Events Page from the pane on the left.

Step 2: At the top of the Events page, click on Export Events.

Step 3: A pop-up window with a URL will appear. Copy that link.

Step 4: On Google Calendar, click look below the “Other Calendars” option and click Add.

Step 5: One of the options is “Add by URL.” Select that option and paste the URL that you grabbed from Facebook.

Adding events using Chrome extension

There is a free Google Chrome extension available called “Add Facebook Events To Google Calender.” This extension places an “Add To Calendar” link to all of Facebook events. You can edit the event before it is added to your calendar. You can download the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
