A few days ago, I wrote about how former Harvard University president called the Winklevoss twins a**holes while on stage at a conference hosted by Fortune. In a politically correct response, the Winklevoss twins responded by saying “We now further understand why our meeting was less than productive; someone who does not value ethics with respect to his own conduct, would likely have little interest in this subject as it related to the conduct of others. Perhaps there is a “variability of aptitude” for decency and professionalism among university faculty.” That statement was made in a letter to current Harvard University president Drew Faust.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has acquired social network service Fridge. Fridge’s team will be hired into the Google Plus team. “We strongly believe in the group social experience and couldn’t think of a better place to realize our vision of bringing the nuance and richness of real-life sharing to the web as part of the Google+ Project,” said Fridge on their blog.

Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL) has acquired Cambridge, Massachusetts based Ksplice Inc. Ksplice won $100,000 in the MassChallenge competition. Ksplice developed a product that removes the requirement to reboot after a systems update.

MoboTap, the company behind the Dolphin Browser, has raised $10 million in Series A funding in a round led by Sequoia Capital. Matrix Partners also participated in this round. Sequoia partner Kui Zhou will be joining the board of directors at MoboTap.

Toyota Motor Corporation (NYSE:TM) and Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) have signed an agreement to develop an electric version of the RAV4. Toyota and Tesla are aiming to market the electric vehicle in the U.S. by 2012. The prototypes would be a Toyota RAV4 with a Tesla electric powertrain.
