Sony has announced the Cyber-Shot TX55 camera. The camera is at a super-thin size of 12.2mm. The TX55 is the thinnest camera with optical image stabilization. The camera is 16.2 megapixel with an illuminated backside CMOS sensor. The camera also has full 1080i AVCHD video recording and a high-resolution OLED touchscreen (1,229,800 dots). The lens on the TX55 is a 5x optical zoom. The TX55 also sports “By Pixel Super Resolution” to enable 10x digital zoom. Special effects are built into the camera which include HDR Painting, Rich-tone Monochrome, Miniature, Toy Camera, Partial Color, Pop Color, and Soft High-key. Other specs include: Sweep Panorama mode, 3D Still Image mode, High-speed autofocus, and the camera shoots 12 megapixel stills while HD video records. Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) is using an unfocused group to pick an artificially generated sound for their upcoming Focus electric vehicle. Ford posted four sounds on their Facebook social media Page to find out which one is the best. This past January, a law was enacted that required quiet hybrid vehicles to have some sort of artificial noise generator. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has not clarified what kind of sound the hybrid vehicles should make yet. Below are the four sounds:

Users would hold their finger over the camera for 10 seconds and the app would be able to detect and measure their heart rate. This app has hit 8 million downloads in 9 months between iPhone and Android.
