Missouri Teachers and Students Legally Won’t Be Allowed To Be Facebook Friends

If you are a teacher in Missouri and are Facebook friends with any of your students, then you may have to legally remove them soon. Missouri Senate Bill 54 is going into effect on August 28th and it prevents any social networking interaction (including Twitter) to be banned between students and teachers. This is part of an effort to “more clearly define teacher-student boundaries.” Senate Bill 54 is designed to protect children from misconduct by teachers. [Mashable/KSPR]
