Klout Adds YouTube Data to Users’ Scores

Klout, the social influence calculator, has added another network of information to their algorithms: Klout users can now link their YouTube accounts to their Klout scores. Users’ Klout can now be calculated through data from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare and YouTube. Mashable reports that the company is planning to add Google+ data to its algorithm once Google releases its APIs.

Klout calculate users’ social influence as a score between 1 and 100 based on their interactions in social media. Brands are now beginning to use Klout scores to locate influential customers, and team with the company to offer Klout Perks. A recent Klout Perk gave users with high Klout scores free invites to Spotify.
