Microsoft Mobile Division Brought In A Maximum Of $613 Million Last Fiscal Year
In the company’s 10-K filing, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) revealed that the maximum amount of revenue Microsoft received from their last fiscal year from their mobile division is $613 million. This is a fraction of Microsoft’s $69.9 billion in total revenue.
Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices division brought in $8.716 billion in Microsoft’s fiscal year 2011 that ended July 1st. Of that amount, the Xbox 360 platform made up $8.1 billion and $613 million from the Zune and Surface platforms.
Microsoft did not directly reveal how much they received from licensing Windows Phone 7 or how many Windows Phone devices have been sold. Microsoft plans to roll out the “Mango” software update to its Windows Phone platform.
