Augme Technologies Acquires Hipcricket for $44.5 Million

Mobile advertising platform Hipcricket is being acquired by mobile marketing service Augme Technologies for $44.5 million. TechCrunch reports that Augme is paying $6 million in cash and the rest in stock and taking on all of Hipcricket’s employees, but the Hipcricket staff will remain at their current offices.

Augme also recently acquired mobile marketing platform Jagtag for $5.25 million.
