Operating Systems Solutions Suing Apple Over Fast Booting Patent

Operating Systems Solutions (OSS) has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). OSS’ alleges that Apple’s function in the new MacBook Airs violates at least one patent claim, which details a four-step method for a speedy booting. It involves the files config.sys and autoexec.bat. This patent was originally awarded to LG Electronics back in 2002. It is uncertain whether LG is involved in this lawsuit. [Engadget]
