You may not know this but when you sync the Facebook application with your smartphone, Facebook associates your mobile phone contacts with registered users on the social network. That means Facebook imports all of the phone numbers of your contacts and stores in on their servers. Some of you may not mind, but others are probably thinking “not cool.” Here are instructions on how to remove imported phonebook contacts from Facebook:
– Log in to Facebook.com from your desktop or laptop. Then click on “Account” and “Edit Friends.”
– On the left-side menu, click on “Contacts.” In this section, you will find all of your contacts with their phone numbers listed.
– On the right side, click on “this page” where it says “If you would like to remove your mobile contacts from Facebook, you need to disable the feature on your mobile phone and visit this page.”
– Read the instructions. If you approve of the changes that will happen, then click “Remove”
