Language Software Company Voxy Raises $2.8 Million

Voxy is a company that develops language-learning software. Their newest product is an iPhone application that teaches English to Portuguese speakers. The company has recently raised $2.8 million from Seavest Inc., ff Venture, and Contour Ventures.

Voxy goes through various media and conversations to collect data. Voxy has a free version and a premium version. The premium services feature is $2.99 per month.

“We’re going to continue to leverage mobile in order to meet the needs of users who lack the time, money and access to use traditional browser-based and offline methodologies,” stated Voxy founder Paul Gollash.
