Elevation Partners has stake in Facebook through their earlier $210 million investment. That stake is currently worth close to $1 billion as it is worth $975 million. Elevation Partners is a venture capital company that is run by Fred Anderson, Roger McNamee, Avie Tevanian, Bret Pearlman, and U2 lead singer Bono.
Facebook is currently valued at $65 billion. Bono and U2 guitarist The Edge (David Evans) could make over €400 million if their stake is sold immediately.
Elevation Partners is known for putting $480 million into Palm just a few months before the Apple iPhone was launched. U2 is also affiliated with the Spideman musical that gained a bad reputation across the world. And Elevation Partners lost money in their investment into publishing company Forbes.
