Peter Shankman, a frequent customer at Morton’s Steakhouse, jokingly tweeted at Morton’s, “Hey @Mortons – can you meet me at newark airport with a porterhouse when I land in two hours? K, thanks. :)Gizmodo reports that to his great surprise, when he went to find his driver at the airport, he also found a tuxedoed man with a Morton’s bag waiting. Skeptics have suggested that the surprise was a stunt, or that it only happened because Shankman has more than 100,000 Twitter followers. Shankman’s blog notes that Morton’s is on top of their twitter feed and frequently responds to customers who @mention them.

The Morton’s bag contained “a 24 oz. Porterhouse steak, an order of Colossal Shrimp, a side of potatoes, one of Morton’s famous round things of bread, two napkins and silverware.” [Photo via Peter Shankman]
