On Monday, Samsung is hosting an event where the Samsung Galaxy S II is supposed to be announced. However Verizon will not have that phone on their network. Samsung confirmed the news with the Wall Street Journal today. “We have a robust portfolio of devices that offer customers exciting options, including the Droid Charge by Samsung, which runs on our 4G LTE network,” said Verizon spokesperson Brenda Raney. However rumors indicate that Verizon will eventually get a phone that is similar to the Galaxy S II with a different name. AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint will each get their own version of the Samsung Galaxy S II. [WSJ]
