Skillshare is a P2P learning company that has raised $3.1 million in funding from Union Square Ventures and Spark Capital. Skillshare is a platform that can help turn anyone into a teacher. Users can offer their own offline classes based on their skill. Skillshare takes 15% of the revenue.

Zoove has raised $15 million in Series D funding led by Panorama Capital. Existing investors that participated in this round include Cardinal Venture Capital, Highland Capital Partners, and Worldview Technology Partners. Zoove is the company that created StarStar Numbers, a registry of branded phone numbers such as **WEATHER and **SUZUKI.

Several employees at Astro Ape Studios changed their employment status from that gaming company to Zynga on LinkedIn. What this indicates is that Zynga acquired Astro Ape Studios. Recently they sold that stake for $133 million in a privately negotiated transaction. In five years, half a percent of Facebook stock gave the communications company a $128 million in profit. Wow.

On Friday night, a tweet was sent out by rapper The Game to his 580,000 followers suggesting that if people want to become an intern for him, then call a phone number that was listed. It turns out that phone number was for the Compton Sheriff’s Department. The flood of phone calls prevented deputies from being able to respond quickly to emergency situations. The Game denied that he wrote the tweet. “@wackstar hacked my Twitter earlier….. Arrest him police… He is to blame. #TellinOnYouDemetrius.” A criminal investigation has been initiated for this case. AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has installed LTE-equipment in Apple retail stores to test out LTE-equipped iPhones. One piece of the equipment supports only the 700MHz and AWS bands that AT&T plans to use if their T-Mobile acquisition passes. It seems unlikely that LTE will be in the next iPhone version, but a faster-connected iPhone is inevitable in a future version. [Engadget]
