“Life in a Day” Gets Added To YouTube [VIDEO]

In July 2010, thousands of people added recorded videos of their lives as part of an experiment called “Life in a Day.” There was about 4,500 hours of total footage that was recorded and uploaded to YouTube. Kevin Macdonald, an Oscar-winning director, and Ridley Scott, created a 90 minute film that showcases what life in a day on Earth looks like. This film appeared at SXSW, Sundance, and a few other film festivals. Now the video is available on YouTube for free. Check out the video below:

Jobs Lost Through Google Acquisition Will Likely Cost Motorola About $31 Million

As Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) prepares to acquire Motorola Mobility, the telecommunications company is going to dispose of about 800 jobs. This will cost Motorola $27 million pretax in severance and $4 million pretax in facility closures according to a regulatory filing. Google is spending $12.5 billion to buy-out Motorola Mobility.

Apple Retail Stores To Start Allowing Self-Check Out For Accessories

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is planning to update their retail store iOS application to allow consumers to self-checkout for accessories and other items on the shelves. The items that were purchased through self-checkout will be charged to the customer’s iTunes Store account.

Bill Gates Not Bothered By Steve Jobs’ Criticism [VIDEO]
Steve Jobs’ Last Words: “OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW.”

Mona Simpson is an op-ed contributor for the New York Times, a novelist, an English professor at UCLA, and she is the biological sister of the late Steve Jobs. On October 16, 2011 Mona Simpson delivered a eulogy for her brother at his memorial service at the Memorial Church of Stanford University. Her eulogy was published on the New York Times this past weekend. In the eulogy, Simpson revealed that before Jobs passed away, he looked at his sister Patty, then his children, and then his wife Laurene. Then he looked over their shoulders past them and said “OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW.”
Apple Acquires C3 Technologies

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has acquired C3 Technologies. C3 Technologies CEO Mattias Astrom, CFO Kjell Cederstrand, and Product Manager Ludvig Emgard are all working within the iOS division at Apple now. However the team is presently based in Sweden and their division is called Sputnik.

HP PC Head Todd Bradley Says HP Will Not Be Shutting Down WebOS [VIDEO]

Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) executive vice president Todd Bradley appeared on Bloomberg West this past week to discuss why the company decided to keep the PC division of the company. Bradley also pointed out that the rumor about WebOS being phased out is an unfounded rumor. He said that HP is continuing to invest in WebOS and not just the hardware end of it. Siri Gets Hacked On To iPod Touch [VIDEO]

The Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) voice recognition system known as Siri is officially available to all iPhone 4S users. However hackers have been spending time trying to get Siri to work on other devices like the iPhone 4 and the iPod Touch. Earlier attempts were only able to get the user interface working on the iPhone 4, but the voice recognition service did not do very well. Developers @stroughtonsmith and @chpwn has successfully been able to integrate Siri into the older devices. Check out the video below of Siri in action on an iPod Touch 4G:
