Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE) has acquired Typekit. Adobe CTO Kevin Lynch made the announcement at the annual MAX conference as part of the company’s Creative Cloud strategy presentation. Typekit serves three billion fonts per month on over one million different websites including typefaces used by The New York Times, Vanity Fair, and the New Yorker. Typekit is making fonts available to broad audiences with platform integration in companies like WordPress.com, About.me, Posterous, and Behance. [Typekit Blog]
