Sling Media has announced a new app for Honeycomb (3.0) tablets that costs $29.99. This is the same cost that Sling Media charges for their mobile applications. The application allows Slingbox owners to watch home TV from their Android tablets. The Slingbox retails for over $180.

The earlier released SlingPlayer app for Android phones will continue working in “Compatibility Mode” on tablets for no extra charge. This means that the older version of the app streams from all Slingboxes, but not at the higher-quality resolutions available on tablets.
