Samsung Hits 30 Million Galaxy S and Galaxy SII Smartphone Sales

Samsung Electronics has announced today that the Samsung Galaxy S and the Galaxy S II smartphones has hit 30 million in total global sales. The Galaxy SII set a new record for Samsung as it generated over 10 million sales. The Samsung Galaxy S hit 20 million unit sales since it launched in 2010.

“Since its launch only five months ago, Galaxy SII has seen tremendous sales success and garnered enthusiastic reviews from consumers and mobile industry watchers across the globe. This is in addition to the continued sales momentum behind Galaxy S, which we launched at Mobile World Congress 2010 as continues to be a run-away success with consumers,” stated Samsung president and head of Mobile Communications Business JK Shin.
