UberMedia, the company that runs Echofon, UberSocial, and Twidroyd has launched a new iPhone application called Chime.in. The Chime.in website currently is not available.

UberMedia and Twitter has had a shaky relationship. UberMedia has always denied releasing a Twitter competitor. They have focused on designing applications that revolve around organizing tweets thus far.

Chime.in is intended to allow people to maintain communities around their favorite topics. After you launch Chime.in, you are asked to create an account using a Facebook or Twitter account. The updates sent through Chimes have rich media including photos, videos, polls, etc.
