Rovio Announces 400 Million Angry Birds Downloads And Upcoming Movie

At the Web 2.0 conference, Rovio North American General Manager Andrew Stalbow has revealed some impressive numbers about the Angry Birds game. Angry Birds has hit 400 million downloads. The game also sees about 130 million monthly users, 30 million daily active users, and 300 million minutes of game-play per day.

Rovio does not have a marketing budget, but manages to sell about 1 million T-shirts and plush toys per month. Rovio is planning on launching a new bird character to the Halloween version of the game.

Rovio is also in discussions about an Angry Birds movie. David Maisel, the executive producer of movies such as Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America, is involved in the Angry Birds movie project.
