Microsoft Signs 10th Patent License Agreement With Android OEM

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has signed a patent agreement with Compal Electronics. This is Microsoft’s 10th patent license agreement. Nine of those agreements was signed in the last 4 months.
Microsoft has signed patent agreements with Samsung, HTC, Wistron, Quanta, Acer, etc. Microsoft sued some of these companies over patent infringement that involves Android.
Microsoft has licensing agreements for its patents with Android OEMs. These 10 OEMs are responsible for producing over 50% of the Android devices. Microsoft makes approximately $3 and $6 per Android handset.
