YouTube Getting Over 100 New Channels With Exclusive Content

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) subsidiary YouTube is launching over 100 new channels that contains exclusive video content from various media companies and celebrities. Some of the channels will include content from Thomas Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, The Onion, Jay-Z, Ashton Kutcher, Deepak Chopra, and Madonna. Google paid roughly $100 million to get the exclusive content for YouTube.

Google will not exercise control over the content production, but is just providing seed for the market. Google also recently updated the Google TV software. Below is the full list of partners.
