Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) vice president of consumer applications Jeff Robbin is best known for developing iTunes and helped create the iPod. According to sources with Bloomberg, Robbin will now be spearheading the development of an Apple television set. Before Apple co-founder Steve Jobs passed away, he told his biographer Walter Isaacson that he had “finally cracked” how to build an integrated TV set with a simple user interface that could wirelessly synchronize content with Apple’s other devices.

Square, the mobile payments service company, has launched a store locator to help consumers find out where to buy the Square device from. The Square device is being sold at Apple, Best Buy, RadioShack, Target, and Wal-Mart retail stores.

President Barack Obama is campaigning for the 2012 election to serve another four years. Obama’s campaign team has joined Tumblr to tell stories, share jokes, etc. “There will be trolls among you: this we know. Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) has lost a lot of subscribers due to a price hike and after they separated their streaming and DVD businesses. Netflix ended the third quarter with 23.8 million subscribers in the third quarter, which is down about 810,000 subscribers from the quarter before. Netflix forecasted their subscriber base to be at around 24 million.

Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL) has announced the acquisition of RightNow for $43 per share (about $1.5 billion). Oracle will be integrating RightNow’s cloud-based customer service offering to their own Public Cloud solutions. The acquisition price is a 20% premium on its closing price on Friday, October 21.

Dag Kittlaus, co-founder and CEO of Siri, has stepped down from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). Siri is best known for being integrated into the iPhone 4S.

Jonathan “Jony” Ive was Steve Jobs’ go-to guy for Apple product design ideas. Ive regularly became frustrated by Jobs when he took credit for his ideas. “I pay maniacal attention to where an idea comes from, and I even keep notebooks filled with my ideas,” said Ive. “So it hurts when he takes credit for one of my designs.”
