Daily deals service Groupon has reported their Q3 results. “Gross billings” growth was strong and rose 24% sequentially to around $1.2 billion for the quarter. Revenue grew 9% sequentially to nearly $1.2 billion for the quarter. Cumulative customers continued to grow rapidly and hit 29.5 million. Free cash flow increased to $60 million for the quarter. Groupon broke even this quarter.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) expects the production costs of handsets that uses Windows Phone 7 software to drop by over half next year. Qualcomm Inc. will allow phones that run on the Windows Phone 7 operating system to be produced for under $200. This is a substantial drop from the $400 manufacturing cost from when the mobile operating system was introduced last year. This announcement was made by Windows Phone head Andy Lees. Gundotra said that over 3.4 billion photos have been shared on Google+ in the last 100 days. Jobs was usually a private man, but he allowed Isaacson to follow him around and put together the biography. Jobs said “nothing is off limits” when it came to chronicling his life to Isaacson.

CouponCabin.com works with 3,500 stores across the nation and has generated $500 million in online retail sales for their merchants since 2003. They have saved consumers over $300 million since 2003.
