On the stage at the AsiaD conference, ASUS chairman Johnny Shih announced the Transformer Prime tablet. The Transformer Prime is 8.3mm thick. The Transformer Prime has an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and a 10″ screen. Shih said that the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system has a good chance of being on tablets by the end of the year. Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) co-founder Jerry Yang said today that the company board of directors is considering multiple options about what to do with the company. “The intent going in is not to put ourselves for sale,” said Yahoo! co-founder Jerry Yang at the AsiaD conference. “The intent is to look at all the options.” Yahoo! is made of three components: Its core business, Yahoo! Japan (Softbank), and its share in Alibaba.

Visual.ly is an infographics design company that has raised $2 million in seed funding. The investors in this round includes Crosslink Capital, SoftTech, 500 Startups, Kapor Capital, Giza Ventures, Naval Ravikant, Mark Goines, Josh James, etc. Visual.ly had about 26,000 users sign up as part of their beta. Over 300,000 infographics have been created and they receive about one million pageviews per month. Some of the companies that Visual.ly works with include BuzzFeed, AskMen, CNNMoney, GOOD, NASDAQ, Skype, the Wall Street Journal, and National Geographic. Visual.ly plans on using the funding for building their development team and hire additional data visualization specialists.

(NYSE:T) has announced that they have activated over 1 million iPhone 4S devices as of this past Tuesday. “It’s no surprise that customers are clamoring for iPhone 4S and they want it to run on a network that lets them download twice as fast as competitors’,” stated AT&T Mobility & Consumer Markets President and CEO Ralph de la Vega. At the All Things D Asia conference, Microsoft Windows Phone President Andy Lees announced a new line of Windows Phone powered devices coming to AT&T. These devices includes the HTC Titan, Samsung Focus S, and Samsung Focus Flash. The Focus S and Focus Flash have 1.4GHz Sandragon S2 SoC processors. The Focus S has a 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus Display and the Flash has a 3.7″ Super AMOLED screen. The Focus S has an 8MP rear facing camera and the Flash has a 5MP rear facing camera.
