Google+ Bans Promotions and Competitions On Brand Pages

Yesterday Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) announced a Pages feature for brands. However The Sociable noticed something interesting in the policy pages on the Google+ Pages terms of service.

Brands and businesses “may not run contests, sweepstakes, offers, coupons or other such promotions” directly on their Google+ pages. Brands are required to link to contests on external websites on alternative social networks.

Google reserves the right to delete promotional content from Google+ Pages. If a Page is inactive for nine months, Google also reserves the right to delete them.
